Ductwork Cleaning

The internal cleanliness of ventilation systems is considered important for human comfort and health, energy consumption, system service life and for cleanliness of operations or processes carried out in the ventilated area (as stated in the internal cleanliness of ventilation systems guide – TR/19 Second Edition).

Although often out of sight an accumulation of dust and debris inside ductwork can have a major impact on the effectiveness of the systems and to the health of the building occupants.

Now more than ever it is important to know what condition your ductwork is in. We have found insects, nests and extremely high levels of dust and debris inside ductwork that haven’t been inspected and maintained correctly. Filters and grilles can become blocked which means poor or no air flow throughout.

D&E inspect and clean AHU’s and general supply and extract ductwork including toilet and laundry extract.

Various methods of sampling can be undertaken to ascertain the microbiological conditions within the ductwork systems. This can be for validation purposes and for post verification once cleaning has been completed. All samples are submitted to an independent UKAS accredited laboratory for microbiological analysis.
